Commanders Corner - 2012 - 2013

Picture
Commander: Kevin Krasovetz - United States Navy (Ret)

As I end the first quarter of my term as your Post Commander I want to say Thank You to every Post Member and Ladies Auxillary Member for your support. We have had a busy past few months with Community service and aid to Veterans. By sponsoring a hole at the recent American Legion golf tournament we supported their fundraiser for "Semper Fido" an organization that trains dogs to be companions to help our returning Vets that are suffering from PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury.

There is a wonderul Gazebo that has been built for our post members and Veterans to use. This was an Eagle Scout project for Sean Gillespie a local Boy Scout from Troop 48 of Berlin. I am happy that we had a part in the achievement of his Eagle Scout Award.

Work has begun and the first phase is completed on the renovation of the Ladies Auxillary room.

Our membership is rebuilding and I want to welcome the several new members that have joined our post over the past year. Along with our membership rebuilding our Honor Guard is also rebuilding. If anyone is interested in joining please let me know. I am looking forward to our upcoming events. The Veterans day luncheon at The Fountains in Atco, our Bingo and Pizza at the Veterans Home in Vineland and our annual Christmas party.

I want to wish our past Quartermaster Wilbur Rowand and his wife Barbara the best of luck on their recent move to Florida. They will be missed around the post.

I want to wish everyone a Safe and Happy Holiday season and a Happy New Year.

Please always remember our Veterans and when you meet one; let them know you do. The words "Thank You For You Service" a hand shake and a smile mean a lot.

Respectfully,

Kevin Krasovetz
Post Commander
